How does Staark work?

Parents share information about their child, goals, and challenges. Staark generates practical daily actions and recommendations that parents can implement at home.

Staark is for parents and caregivers supporting a child’s academic or behavioral growth.

2. Daily Plans

How are daily plans created?

Daily plans are based on the information a parent provides during intake, the current action plan, progress activity, and reflections shared inside the platform.

How often are plans updated?

Staark is designed around small daily actions and periodic plan updates. Parents can review progress, complete actions, and update the plan as the family’s needs change.

What if I disagree with a recommendation?

You should use your judgment. Staark recommendations are guidance only, and parents remain responsible for deciding what is appropriate for their child and family.

Can I customize the plan?

Yes. Parents can edit plan sections and use support features to ask for clarification, adjustments, or a calmer next step.

3. Artificial Intelligence

Does Staark use AI?

Yes. Staark uses AI to help generate personalized recommendations, daily actions, and support responses. Learn more on the AI Transparency page.

How is AI used?

AI helps turn parent-provided context into practical daily plans, action steps, reflection prompts, and support guidance.

Can AI make mistakes?

Yes. AI-generated recommendations may be incomplete, inaccurate, or not appropriate for every situation. Parents and caregivers should review recommendations before implementation.

Does AI replace teachers or parents?

No. Staark is designed to support, not replace, parents, caregivers, teachers, school teams, or qualified professionals.

4. Privacy & Data

What information does Staark collect?

Staark may collect account information, parent-provided child profile details, intake responses, plan progress, reflections, support messages, and billing metadata needed to operate the service. See the Privacy Policy for more detail.

How is my information used?

Information is used to provide personalized plans, improve the product, support users, process subscriptions, maintain security, and operate the platform.

Does Staark sell personal information?

No. Staark does not sell personal information.

Does Staark use my data to train public AI models?

Staark does not use parent or child personal information to train public AI models. You can also review the Data Retention and Third-Party Services pages.

5. Account Management

How do I update my account?

Open account settings from the side panel to update profile details, preferences, billing tools, data export, and account deletion options.

How do I change my subscription?

Use Manage Subscription in billing settings to open Stripe billing tools where available.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions can be managed through the Stripe billing portal from account settings. Account deletion also cancels an active subscription before account data is removed.

How do I delete my account?

Go to account settings and use Delete Account. You will be asked to confirm before deletion. If Stripe cancellation fails, account deletion will not continue.

How do I download my data?

Go to account settings and choose Download My Data. Staark offers a readable summary and a machine-readable JSON export.

6. Safety & Support

What should I do if my child is experiencing a crisis?

Staark is not a crisis service. If there is immediate danger, call 911 or local emergency services. For suicide, self-harm, or emotional crisis in the U.S., call or text 988. Review the Safety & Support page for more information.

Is Staark a mental health service?

No. Staark provides educational planning support for parents and caregivers. It is not a mental health, therapeutic, medical, diagnostic, or crisis intervention service.

Can Staark provide medical or legal advice?

No. Staark does not provide medical, legal, psychological, therapeutic, diagnostic, or special education determinations.
